BlockBeats News, December 11th, Andreessen Horowitz's (a16z) venture capital fund a16z crypto announced that it is expanding its Asia business by establishing an office in Seoul and hiring Sungmo Park to lead operations in the region.

a16z crypto stated in a blog post that South Korea is the world's second-largest cryptocurrency market. The office will collaborate with entrepreneurs through activities such as forming partnerships, expanding distribution channels, and accelerating regional community growth.

Reportedly, Sungmo Park previously served as the Head of Asia Pacific at the Monad Foundation and was responsible for market expansion and ecosystem development in East Asia, Greater China, Southeast Asia, and India for Polygon Labs.
