Balancer: White-Hat Recovery Operation Launched, Approximately $4.1 Million Funds Moved to Controlled Custodian Account
BlockBeats News, November 13th, Balancer tweeted that, in response to the recent Balancer V2 stable pool incident, the team has initiated a white-hat recovery operation and moved approximately $4.1 million to a controlled custody account for reconciliation and refund purposes. This only applies to the Balancer V2 meta stable pool, and Balancer V3 is not affected. Balancer reminds community users to beware of phishing attacks and advises not to interact with the listed pool of funds temporarily. Further updates will be provided after the reconciliation is completed.
In a previous announcement, Balancer suffered a hack resulting in a loss of approximately $116.6 million, involving the transfer of assets across multiple chains, including WETH, Staked ETH, wstETH, and various other tokens.
