Solana Mobile Wallet Valuation, Tomorrow's TGE Outlook
BlockBeats News, January 20th, Solana Mobile will officially open the SKR token airdrop claim on January 21st at 10:00 (UTC+8). According to community feedback, users who receive the airdrop on their phones without interacting will receive a minimum tier of 5000 tokens, while users who interact just once will receive a tier of 10,000 tokens. Higher-tier airdrops will require frequent interaction with the built-in DApp. The 5 tiers of token airdrops are 5000, 10,000, 40,000, 125,000, and up to 750,000 tokens. This airdrop will distribute nearly 2 billion SKR tokens to the community, with approximately 1.82 billion SKR allocated to 100,908 users and 141 million SKR allocated to 188 developers.
According to pre-market data from Whales Market, the current pre-market trading price of SKR is $0.0165, with a 7.5% decrease in the last 24 hours, corresponding to a fully diluted valuation of $165 million. There are mixed opinions in the crypto community regarding the final valuation of SKR after its listing, but the general optimistic expectation is for the price to be between $0.02 and $0.04, higher than the current pre-market price. Some community viewpoints are as follows:
Cryptocurrency analyst 7de9 stated that the pre-market pricing by Whales Market is completely wrong, and the $165 million FDV is simply a joke. He estimates the minimum valuation to be between $400 million and $600 million. SKR is not just a reward mechanism but also plays a governance and participation role across the entire Solana Mobile platform.
Marino, a veteran investor in the Solana ecosystem, holds a more neutral view, suggesting that the price at the time of TGE should be around $0.02, striking a balance between market speculation and avoiding significant sell pressure. A lower FDV is conducive to organic growth, and SKR will ultimately be positioned as the "secondary token of Solana."
Renowned DeFi researcher InfoSpace OG expressed some disappointment, noting that the average distribution of SKR in the airdrop is between 10,000 and 18,000 tokens, translating to a value of $130 to $230 based on the pre-market price. Let's not forget that users spent $450 to $600 to purchase the phone during the sale. To be honest, the price seems a bit low.
