Vitalik: Hoping for a Plugin to Display Final Product Price, Helping Consumers Avoid "Hidden Fees"

BlockBeats News, November 20th, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin commented on Uber founder Travis Kalanick's post regarding the tipping mechanism in a food delivery app, saying: "We need more 'adversarial' UI design, but it should serve the user's interest. I hope operating systems can have plugins that overlay the interfaces of all ride-hailing/food delivery apps, showing the all-inclusive price of each item directly, including taxes/strange additional fees/expected tips."
Uber founder Travis Kalanick believes that tipping is a "hack" tool that exploits user psychology to maximize economic gains. Vitalik, on the other hand, wants to help consumers avoid being deceived by the app's "hidden fees" and see the true price more transparently.
